Welcome

The Jonathan Hibbert Foundation would like to welcome you to our new membership site, where students/players can register using the sidebar on the right and commence updating their profiles and profile pictures. Coaches will also be able to search through the players page and look out for some of the wonderful talent that is out there. The site is however, still undergoing major changes, so you may or may not have noticed that the “Projects” and “Scholarship” pages have not been included, but please don’t despair as we are working on having them back up in the new year, along with a blogging section for past and present students/players to update everyone on what they are up to before, during and after tournaments. There will also be an area to view photos and videos, and a tournament information page.

We would also like to inform you of the annual JHF Cup Competition will take place at Munro College, St Elizabeth, Jamaica W.I. on January 8th 2011. This competition enables bright young athletes to display their skills to invited coaches from prestigious universities in the United States of America with the aim of gaining an athletic scholarship.

4th Annual London to Brighton Fund Raiser 2011

At Midnight the team of walkers meet up within striking distance of the chimes of Big Ben to bless the route and each other before starting off to walk to Brighton. This year’s walkers Norma Hibbert, Amanda Blondell and Rosa Simpson were determined to keep smiling and going regardless of what weather the heavens were planning to throw at them.

By 7am the team had reached 17 miles had seen the sun rise and walked through rain and hail

So far the team have received pledges in excess of £800 approx $US 1,300 or $JM 110,000 towards next year’s tournament in Jan 2012. If you feel you can please donate and make all the blisters the team hobbled home with worthwhile. Next year will be the 5th and last London to Brighton walk but we still need to keep up the fund-raising effort. Please contact us if you can think of any other ways to raise funds with more than 200 students passing through the programme every penny counts.

Well done walkers of 2011
